JAMÉ FORBES: LIVE MUSICIAN IN MELBOURNE

About

Jamé is a multi-faceted musician with extensive training in jazz and classical guitar. With a rich baritone voice and mesmerising interpretation of popular music, his loop performances bring vibrance and a wow-factor to any function and venue.

His explosive performances are delivered through a genre-bending setlist with vocals, acoustic guitar and creative looping.

Suited for intimate settings such as weddings to large-scale public events, Jamé’s engaging shows have been booked by clients that include Formula 1, Australian Open, Commonwealth Bank, St Kilda Festival, Hyundai, Melbourne City Football Club, Moonee Valley Racecourse and Ericsson. See list below for other clients.

Also available for private events, functions and teaching lessons.

Background

Growing up in the scintillatingly rich music scene of the 90s in Cape Town, South Africa, Jamé used to fall asleep in a carry cot next to the late-night jazz rhythms of his dad’s kick drum before he could even walk.

Between hearing his grandmother’s rapturous ragtime on her old piano as a toddler, and being musically corrupted by South African jazz giant George Werner as a young teenager, Jamé’s personal experience of music has shaped the foundation of his sound.

Now as an Australian, he brings together a fusion of his rich musical background and unique renditions for your entertainment.
